From Jhumkas to Hoops - Inspo from Kiara Advani

From Jhumkas to Hoops - Inspo from Kiara Advani

Kiara Advani has been making waves for her style sense for a long time, and she’s back in the limelight to promote her upcoming movie “JugJugg Jeeyo” co-starring Varun Dhawan, Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor. With such a glittering ensemble of actors, the movie is sure to be a spectacle, at least visually. Besides the excitement for the family entertainer, we are also excited by the different looks that Kiara has been sporting to promote the film.

Here we pick two of our favourite looks that are as different from each other as North Pole and South Pole, but they have one thing in common - eye-catching earrings that elevate the look completely!

1. The Ethnic Beauty

Kiara looks absolutely ethereal in this shimmery white saree with delicate sequins in a neat pattern. She has paired it with a fully sequined off-shoulder blouse with a plunging neckline. It’s a super modern take on this classic Indian garment, and Kiara has the looks to carry it off with panache. But what adds extra oomph to the look is her choice of oversized jhumkas that are more than compensating for the otherwise simple and neat look.

This gorgeous look is an example of mixing timelessness with modernity, and also shows us how to style a shimmery saree without looking OTT. One pair of oversized earrings are quite enough.

2. The Modern Muse

Kudos to Kiara for carrying any type of look with elan and grace. Here she is seen sporting a blue coord set comprising plain bell-bottom trousers and a sequined off-shoulder blouse with a zip at the front. It’s a contemporary and youthful choice of outfit. Kiara has stayed away from most accessories - her hands, wrists and neck are completely bare. But she did choose to wear thick hoops in white for a chic 70s vibe.

This is yet again a lesson in how to look stylish and glamorous with minimal effort.

So which of the two looks did you like more?

It’s hard to pick, right? And if you’re drooling over the choice of earrings, Team Sohi has you covered. We have picked out some of our favourite oversized jhumkas and our hottest hoops so that you can emulate Kiara’s style.

These golden and white jhumkas with kundan work and white beads are straight out of an Indian fairytale. Pair them with your favourite saree to instantly level up your dressing game. Heads will turn wherever you go, it’s a guarantee

These kundan-studded layered chandbali earrings are nothing less than a dream come true. Combine them with any ethnic outfit of your choice to instantly feel like a royal beauty.

Steering a bit away from jhumkas and chandbalis, but still staying true to the oversized ethnic look are these stunning drop earrings featuring kundan studs on top and white beads at the bottom. Try them out with a sequined saree and see the magic yourself.

Coming back to jhumkas, this one's a classic and a constant bestseller. From the grey background to the floral motifs, it’s a far cry from the usual jhumka designs out there. But it still retains the classic elements of kundan and beads to give you the best combination of classic and modern styles.

And now on to our favourite hoop designs…

The beauty of hoops is the stunning variety of styles and cuts they offer, and this one is no different. The classic golden hoop is given a modern twist by literally giving it a twisted, swirly shape that looks gorgeous and instantly catches the eye. This is a vibrant take on the hoop which can never fail to make you stand out.

Here is another fun twist on the hoop - large white beads encase the hoop to give you a fun, youthful and modern look. Team this pair with a black dress or white gown, or pair it with your favourite solid coord set in just about any colour because these white hoops come in a universal colour that will never look bad with anything.

If you’re in the mood to add sparkle and shimmer to your outfit, then these dazzling stone-studded hoops in rose gold are just what you need. Perfect for a party or date night, these should be your go-to pair whenever you want to channel your inner diva.

Who said hoops should always be round? Check out this startling pair of thick, golden hoops in a square shape. It is bold, it is contemporary and it is not afraid to stand out, much like you. Pair it with a black jumpsuit for a night around town, or a dress in white or any light shade for a day event.

So have you decided which pieces you’re going to pick?
