Vaani Kapoor is back in the limelight. The actress has been rather selective with her work, so fans are delighted at the prospect of seeing her paired opposite actor Ranbir Kapoor - who is also a rare sight on the big screen - in their upcoming film Shamshera, which is slated to release in July 2022. While Vaani may not have a long list of films to boast of, she has the ability to make her mark and be noticed even in small appearances. She established her acting credentials with last year’s hit film Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, in which she played a trans woman - a bold choice for someone who doesn’t have too many mainstream roles to her credit. But Vaani played the role with aplomb and did full justice to her strong yet fragile character in the film. The said movie was the first mainstream film on this subject, and hopefully it will herald an era of acknowledgment, tolerance and acceptance in not just Bollywood but also the society at large.

Besides the strong and independent characters she portrays on screen, Vaani Kapoor is also appreciated by fans for her sense of style. Blessed with a great physique and looks to die for, this Delhi girl from a simple Punjabi family is a role model for budding fashionistas.
